The company's two most recent construction projects – a modern visitor center in Tuttlingen and a highly efficient new logistics center 10 km away in Neuhausen – clearly demonstrate one thing:
Commitment to our regional roots and a sense of responsibility for the town of Tuttlingen are still alive and well in the second and third generation of our company's management.
These roots are not just the result of a nostalgic attachment to our home town. They are also our commitment to the virtues and characteristics for which this region is well known – the strong solidarity and efficiency of its Swabian people and the inventive spirit Germans call "Tüfteln" or "fiddling", attributes that characterize the company to this day. Worldwide KARL STORZ subsidiaries do not contradict this commitment but rather are the necessary consequence of worldwide demand for the products from Tuttlingen. Our production sites in Europe and North America have also been consciously developed to take advantage of regional manufacturing expertise to benefit the entire product range.
Despite our strong global presence, the company's heart beats in Tuttlingen, and our resulting responsibility for the region is expressed not only in economic terms but also by our multifaceted involvement with the social and cultural life within the region. At KARL STORZ, responsibility does not end at the factory gates.
