After the successful 2010 season, KARL STORZ is pleased to sponsor the up-and-coming Swiss mountain biker Thomas Litscher again in the 2011 season.

This year, Thomas Litscher has once again built on last season's success and continuously improved his performance. He had a great start into the year, being elected Sportsman of the Year at the Rheintaler Sportlerwahl [Rheintal sports award] in Widnau, Switzerland.

At the 2011 MTB World Cup race in Offenburg, Germany, he entered the Elite Category with start number 14 and finished in a very good 9th place.

At the next World Cup race in Mont Sainte Anne, Canada, Litscher again achieved a good 9th place despite the fact that his race preparation was compromised by the belated arrival of the mountain bikes in Canada – only one day before the race.

The highlight of his season was becoming U23 Swiss Champion. Thomas Litscher started the race in Plaffeien, Switzerland, with number 101 and achieved first place despite poor weather conditions. After a head-to-head showdown, he crossed the finish-line first, making him the new U23 Swiss Champion.

The KARL STORZ team congratulates Thomas Litscher on his good results in the current season and wishes him good luck at the World Championship.
