The KARL STORZ mobile service* maintains a regular delivery and service. A mobile service courier drives to your facility at fixed times, e.g., once a week, to collect defect products and to submit them to the KARL STORZ repair cycle. The mobile service courier processes the repair-exchange request on-site. The replacement products are delivered directly to you.

On the basis of regular analysis of the repair volume by customer, product, or specialty and through on-site inventory analysis, KARL STORZ can offer customized consultation services tailored to each customer.

  • Inventory management: Qualitative and quantitative assessment of the inventory conducted on three levels – tray audit, analysis and optimization
  • Tray audits: Comprehensive visual inspection and functional testing of instruments and telescopes, including documentation, by our specially trained and experienced team

Tray audits are conducted according to individual customer requirements where existing instruments and telescopes are inspected for damage or changes to their surfaces and materials. A function test is also performed.

The Premium Service Contract includes the processing of repair service in the context of an annual budget that is typically calculated monthly. The customer can add any product groups to the Premium Service Contract as desired.

We offer two Premium Service Contract models:

The Premium Service Contract for products with patient contact includes repair service for all products directly used on the patient. This includes:

The Premium Service Contract with patient proximity includes various services for all products used within the operating room in the proximity of the patient. This includes:

In the context of a maintenance contract, KARL STORZ service technicians perform a once yearly maintenance of the customer’s devices or OR1™ installation(s). Preventive maintenance reduces downtime and ensures long-term value preservation. The annual maintenance includes:

  • Overall function check of individual serviced objects
  • Documentation of performed testing, work, and the achieved results for each individual serviced object
