The colpophotogram is from a 25-year-old gravida 0 after application of 5% acetic acid showing an atypical transformation zone type1. Colposcopy reveals an acetowhite circular area covering the entire ectocervix with normal white color and no opacity, which is interpreted as consistent with metaplasia. Therefore, colposcopic findings are classified as normal. Differentiation between normal colposcopic findings and abnormal colposcopic findings grade 1 (minor change) is difficult to reproduce. Therefore diagnosis “minor change” is also applicable to this colpophotogram. Cytology was normal and high risk HPV DNA was not detected. Histopathologic examination of a biopsy taken at 6 o’clock revealed metaplasia.
