Strip Biopsy

  • A less invasive technique to harvest cervical tissue is called ‘strip biopsy’.
  • It originates from the pathognomonic colposcopic rag sign.
  • HSIL is less connected to the stroma and therefore easily strips of epithelium can be scraped off.
  • These small tissue particles are sufficient for proper diagnosis.
