
Colposcopists must have a good knowledge of cervical histopathology. They should reevaluate all the biopsies or specimen with the pathologist in order to correlate directly colposcopic findings with histologic findings. Several histologic nomenclatures are in use. The colposcopists should always try to predict the histologic findings differentiating between normal, minor change, major change or invasive cancer.
