Innovative achievements in modern endoscopy are closely associated with the name KARL STORZ. The still family owned company was founded in 1945 in Tuttlingen, Germany. From the very beginning the company has demonstrated how products and services can be developed using cutting edge technology and recognizing customer needs and market trends. Years later, KARL STORZ decided to set up regional offices in Singapore, Japan, China and Australia to provide its customers with the best possible service at a local level. The first subsidiary was established in Singapore in 1990 in order to manage all direct sales, service and marketing activities. Since 2008 the KARL STORZ Endoscopy Asia Marketing Pte. Ltd. has served as the Asian hub and provides enhanced marketing support to local subsidiaries and dealers. KARL STORZ Endoscopy Japan K.K. was established in 1995. Only one year later the first office in China was opened as a result of the rapid development in business and in order to facilitate the introduction of new surgical techniques and technology to the market. Three years ago the first Australian subsidiary was established providing regional sales and service.
