EL SEGUNDO, CA (December 19, 2011) – KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc., a leader in advanced endoscopy and operating room integration solutions, is pleased to announce that preparations are being finalized to break ground at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, marking the company’s 3000th OR1® fully integrated operating room installation. The new facilities will combine a range of state-of-the-art surgical technologies, as well as systems for image and data management. The first OR1® fully integrated operation rooms are expected to be installed by the end of this year, with the remaining rooms to be completed by the first half of 2012.
