Manual Cleaning
Rigid borescopes do not require any preventive maintenance. The most important care measure is cleaning the borescope immediately after use, especially when it has been in contact with foreign substances. Even hardly visible dirt on the small lens of a borescope leads to a decrease in the image quality and the removal of hardened dirt can easily result in damage to the lens coating.
The outside surfaces of the borescope should be cleaned with a soft cloth soaked in some alcohol. For cleaning the optical surfaces (lens, ocular and light guide connector), cotton wool balls soaked in alcohol are recommended.
Use the cleaning paste (art. No. 27661) to remove stubborn dirt and deposits. Cleaning immediately after use is recommended.
