The substance of buildings can be affected in many ways. The use of KARL STORZ endoscopes is ideal for preventing further deterioration. Instead of making large holes, often just a few bore holes are sufficient for assessing substance damage. Especially in the case of monuments and protected buildings or to avoid a large amount of dirt, the use of KARL STORZ endoscopes has proved its worth. Among our customers are construction companies, experts and public authorities.

The condition of supply pipes: Apart from the possibility of examining rigid building components (walls etc.), KARL STORZ also offers systems for the inspection of supply pipes. Thus for example, sprinkler equipment, water pipes or service shafts can be controlled by our videoscope (up to 10 m working length). When these are connected to our mobile documentation unit (e.g. TECHNO PACK™), nothing remains hidden.
The condition of buildings: Endoscopes are employed here particularly for the assessment of the building substance. In practice this means that suspended ceilings, double-shelled walls, corrosion of steel cables (bridge building) etc. can be inspected. Both flexible and rigid endoscopes from KARL STORZ are used here.
Damage analysis: Insect infestation, burst pipes, mould, cracks, rotting etc. For this purpose, our rapid 8 and 10 mm lens borescopes are ideal. The standardised ocular head enables the connection of a camera and subsequent documentation of the resulting images.
