The Vario-Retractors – “Children“ and “Babies” acc. to SCHÖLLHORN

The “Children” Vario-Retractor is a smaller version of the standard size SCHÖLLHORN Vario-Retractor. The smaller blades ensure perfect adaptability for operating on children of all sizes. To ensure perfect adaptability to the different sizes of children, the blades have been developed in heights of both 15 mm and 22 mm. The width of the blades is 30 mm in each case.

The “Babies” Vario-Retractor is characterized by a special technological feature, adapted specially to the unique anatomy of new-born. Following a sternotomy, the thoraces of neonatal patients will swing open, as if on hinges, due to the softness of their bones.
