Set for Laparoscopic Inguinal Herniotomy in Infants and Children, Set recommended by C. K. YEUNG, M. D.
Inguinal herniotomy is one of the most common operations performed in infants. KARL STORZ has developed – in cooperation with C. K. Yeung from Hong Kong – a special set for laparoscopic inguinal herniotomy in infants and children. Part of the set is a specially designed herniotomy hook that is used to dissect the hernia sac circumferentially, separating the sac from the vas and testicular vessels in boys, and carrying the suture around the hernia sac. The sac is then ligated and closed.
