KARL STORZ launches advanced TWINVIDEO™ module for IMAGE 1™ digital camera system
Culver City, California – KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc., a leader in medical video imaging, announces the availability of the advanced TWINVIDEO module for its IMAGE 1™ camera systems, providing expanded functionality and system upgradability. The built-in TWINVIDEO™ module is a digital Picture-in Picture (PIP) processor that enables users to view images from two independent video sources simultaneously on a single monitor, eliminating the need for an additional video mixer.
“The ability to combine two distinct image sources on a single display provides superior intraoperative control,” says Carl Liebert, Product Marketing Manager. He explains that PIP technology can be used to combine images during procedures that require different techniques to applied in parallel under video control. “In this way, critical information can be applied more effectively. And because only one monitor is required, clutter in the operating theater is reduced,” Liebert adds.
