Instrument set for Endoscopic Transthoracic Sympathectomy acc. to HECKER
Endoscopic Transthoracic Sympathectomy is a surgical intervention used in the treatment of hyperhidrosis. It has been perfected to a sufficient extent that one can now access the ganglia in the thoracic cavity without any major operative risk or trauma. To avoid the formation of visible scars, access is achieved via a small incision in the axilla. Flexible trocars with a diameter of only 6 mm allow the introduction of not only the rigid telescope but also curved instruments into the thorax.
The KARL STORZ instrument set according to Dr. Hecker contains instruments which are especially suitable for this procedure. Employing the KARL STORZ FULL HD camera system with a 5 mm HOPKINS® II enlarged view telescope an outstanding image quality is provided.
