Endoscopic Mamma Surgery
Unipolar Endo-Dissector acc. to DELMAR
The unipolar endo-dissector has been developed for preparation of the implant pocket for breast implants under endoscopic vision. It is used with a 10 mm, 0° telescope in order to create a retro mammary or retro pectoral pocket through the axillary approach. The surgeon is enabled to dissect and coagulate tissue under visual control with an uniplar coagulation electrode. By means of endoscopic view, the endo-dissector facilitates very precise preparation in respect to the shape of the implant. Thus, mamma augmentation through the axillary approach can be done with excellent results.
Ever since breast augmentation operations using silicone implants began, the search has been on for alternative approaches, as far as the quality and visibility of scars are concerned. We have developed a set of instruments, which permits preparation of the implant pocket, endoscopically controlled hemostasis and the insertion of silicone gel implants via minimal incisions. The special design and dimensioning of this set have proved particularly successful during a large number of procedures. The special preparation steps through small incisions can therefore be performed quickly, safely and under controlled conditions.
KARL STORZ offers you high quality instruments for endoscopic mamma surgery, which have been adapted to the anatomical features.
The DVD KS 604 "Axillary Approach for Breast Augmentation and Endoscopy" by Autor Henry Delmar, M.D. is available for you to order from our Media library.
