Pediatric GAAB Neuroendoscope
The new pediatric and minimally invasive neuroendoscope, which has been developed with Prof. Gaab, is used for especially atraumatic intracranial endoscopy, e.g. pediatric ventriculostomy, cystostomy and biopsy.
In intracranial endoscopy, rigid endoscopes are routinely used – if no complex options are required for hemostasis and manipulation (removal of tissue and tumors), e.g. for standard ventriculostomy, septostomy or aqueductoplasty, the new autoclavable “GAAB minifiber scope” offers the advantage of being less invasive due to the overall outer diameter of only 4.5 mm, including the sheath.
The resolution of this minifiber scope with 35,000 pixels enables good optical orientation. Furthermore, this scope is autoclavable. At the same time, straight instruments can be used which are both easy to steer and effective. Stomata can be enlarged most effectively and with a minimum of trauma using a 2 Fr. balloon catheter.
Special Features:
- Fiber optic system in proven quality.
- Suitable for pediatric interventions.
- The physician has both hands free for operating the instruments.
- Large inflow – two separate irrigation channels with diameter of 1 mm for continuous suction and irrigation.
- Central working channel with a diameter of 1.3 mm allows use of rigid instruments.
- Lateral irrigation channel allows use of additional instruments with a diameter of 1 mm parallel to the working channel.
-
Autoclavable.
