Special features of the new endoscope:
  • Right-angled irrigation/suction ports: Right-angled irrigation/suction channels prevent the positioning on the patient from being too tight and enable optimum handling and comfortable insertion of the micro instruments.
  • Angled eyepiece/central working channel: The angle of the eyepiece creates a large central working channel, which allows the use of micro instruments up to 2.5 mm.
  • Autoclavable: This is the first autoclavable endoscope for percutaneous endoscopic cervical discectomy in our product range. This dispenses with the need for both plasma and gas sterilization.
  • Accessories: KARL STORZ offers a huge range of forceps, electrodes and other micro instruments to ensure the optimum treatment of patients.

Another advantage of the PECD Set are the so called „expansion sheaths“. With these sheaths it is possible to expand the discal space through spreading. Special features are: Different distal ends for optimal treatment, integrated port for optimum suction, “T-handle” for maximum stability during insertion and intervention and a scaling provides better control of penetration depth.
