Russia – Marketing subsidiary

The representative office of KARL STORZ GmbH & Co. KG in the Russian Federation was established in Moscow in May 1998 with six employees.
Now we have offices in Siberia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Several employees are responsible for the product groups in the office in Moscow. More than twenty regional representatives are working in CIS countries.

The territory to be covered extends 10,000 km from West to East and 6,000 km from North to South. It encompasses nine time zones and every type of climatic zone, with annual temperature fluctuations between -50º C and +50º C, and consists of 89 regions of Russia and 11 countries of the CIS. 32 languages and around 100 distinct dialects are spoken in this territory. Russian is the lingua franca of the complete region as well as being the primary company business language for everyone working for KARL STORZ in Russia and CIS.

The main tasks of the Moscow office are:

• Maintaining existing contacts and acquisition new customer relationships in all CIS countries.
• Supporting customers in all kind of question concerning KARL STORZ products.
• Supporting further development of the endoscopic methods in CIS countries.

Our representative office presents the company's products in leading medical journals and textbooks in Russia and CIS countries as well as by participating in the main local and regional conferences and by organization of workshops.
With the technical support of the Moscow office and on the basis of Russia's leading hospitals more than ten training centers and reference hospitals are operating in the fields of surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT, neurosurgery, and orthopedics.

Since March 2004, KARL STORZ has been additionally represented in Russia by a sales and service organization named OOO KARL STORZ – Endoskopy WOSTOK.

This company is active in the following areas: trading of KARL STORZ medical and technical instruments, equipment, devices and accessories, customer service during and after the warranty period, repair and exchange.
