Director, Supply Chain Management

Establishes and drives key goals and objectives for the Purchasing/Supply Chain Management group. Directs the day-to-day activities of the Goleta Purchasing department. Works with the QPA and Engineering Product Development groups in the qualification of new technology suppliers and any related process or product validation, or re-validation activities, and the establishment of strategic supplier relationships as a part of Supply Chain Management. Also works closely with Supply Chain staff across the North America region. Trains existing personnel on best practice purchasing and supply chain management processes and procedures. Hires and develops Purchasing staff in order to successfully implement departmental and company goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business with experience in Technology related industries. 
• 15+ years experience in Supply Chain Management including purchasing, contracts and negotiation, schedule adherence and project management. 
• 8+ years at management level. 
• Experience in the principles and implementation of Lean Manufacturing Strategies along with Six-Sigma experience desired. 
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and supplier personnel. 
• Experience working within a multi-business unit environment requiring management by influence skills.
