Arthroscopy of the Temporo-Mandibular-Joint (TMJ)
Main indications for TMJ Arthroscopy are persistent functional disorders in the temporo mandibular area even after conservative treatment such as non-invasive therapy, or if clinical examination and radiological imaging doesn’t lead to a distinct diagnosis.
The KARL STORZ Basic Set for TMJ Arthroscopy has been composed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Dr. W. Kaduk from the University hospital Greifswald, Germany and consists of two telescopes (O.D. 1.9 mm) with different viewing angles as well as trocars, obturators and a number of micro surgical instruments (knifes, scissors, biopsy forceps, grasping forceps) for the insertion via trocar into the joint.
