MEGA FIX® C and MEGA FIX® CP
MEGA FIX® C and CP interference screws are the latest additions to our MEGA FIX®-family of products. They are composed of the same material as MEGA FIX® (PLDLLA), but are enhanced with ßTCP (beta-tricalcium phosphate). The material properties of ßTCP ceramic material are similar to those of natural bone tissue. As a result, MEGA FIX® C and CP produce excellent degradation and osseous replacement characteristics.
Compared with MEGA FIX® C, MEGA FIX® CP features additional perforations. This offers the following advantages:
- Reduced implant mass
- Three-dimensional bone ingrowth
- Increased bone-implant interface
